The first calf crop out of the Sandhill Farms bulls on our predominantly Red Angus cows has shown very promising results. A weight check at preconditioning revealed a 15 pound per head advantage for the Hereford/Red Angus calves versus our straight bred Red Angus calves. I cannot wait to get them into the feedlot to capitalize on expected efficiency gains and to also start producing Red Baldy cows!
