Birdwell Long Run was added to our program for several reasons. We wanted to maintain our vision for Calving Ease, our demand for breed leading carcass merit, that being IMF, REA and Carcass weight, and we wanted to pull in a bull with EPDs that show our committment to the top of the breed for maternal traits. When you search for a homo polled bull with these qualifications, we feel Long Run does all that and provides a pedigree that is as solid as we can make it. His dam is the super cow, 7098, and his sire is the maternal based Long Haul. Our first calves sired by Long Run will be weaned in the fall of 2023.
