York has been a bull that we have used in a limited capacity, and we have had many calls and questions about him. There is no doubt this bull does it all, calving ease, growth and performance, and carcass merit. He has been used and proven in the NRSP and in several performance herds in the US. Prior to being the high selling bull in our 2012 sale, he was injured when he tore a hole in the rectum lining. He healed and was used, and collected a good amount of semen. Later, he developed a scrotal hernia. We took the semen off the market until we could determine if the two injuries were related. After following all the sons that have been produced, no one individual has been noticed to have any problems. Not being one to hide things, here it is.
York can be used to do a lot of things. Some of the daughters can be a little smaller and not as easy fleshing. The bulls are moderate framed, and thick and soggy.
